Art Lead / Senior Artist

Do you have what it takes to create the next game-based IP to take the world by storm? We are looking for an experienced Art Lead to join us on our quest to create new industry leading IPs and expand the Angry Birds franchise in new and surprising directions.

On this quest you will be joined by talented people from our award winning teams at our internal Puzzle Studio, as well as people you’ll help to bring in to make your team complete.

Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for the aesthetic quality of your project, but you’re also expected to play a big role in development of it’s IP, story, and all the technical solutions and pipelines needed to make it in to reality.

What you’ll take under your wings:

  • Define the art vision within your project
  • Directing development of the game’s IP and branding,
  • Creating art assets, supervising art asset production and managing outsourcing of the assets if needed.
  • Mentor, coach and lead the artists’ in your team
  • Delegate portions of activities, responsibilities and authorities, as necessary and desirable, to other artist
  • Advocate for creative values within the project team

You’ll need these skills:

  • 6+ years in gaming industry or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience as an Art Lead on a game project
  • Good understanding of modern art pipelines 2D & 3D
  • Prior experience working on Unity game projects
  • Prior experience in UX design is a plus
  • Great personality and attitude
  • Great leadership, teamwork and people skills
  • Good track record and impressive portfolio
  • Fluent in English, and strong verbal and written communication skills

The position is full time, and requires the candidate to relocate to Finland. The position is in our Espoo Headquarter, just few hundred meters from Helsinki border and less than 10 minutes metro ride from downtown Helsinki.
