As we continue to grow, we are now looking for a group role – a Head of People Operations (global role). The position is permanent and located in either Helsinki, Finland, Stockholm, Sweden or in our offices in either Bremen or Hamburg in Germany.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role leads and oversees development and delivery of scalable methodologies, processes, and tools to optimize People operations service delivery globally. This role plays a crucial role in creating a great employee experience and supporting the organization's strategic goals. As this a newly established role you will have the possibility in developing and impacting the content of the position.

You will be part of the global People & Culture team consisting of +15 professionals across the Epassi Group countries. Altogether we are currently over 550 Epassians, in seven countries and growing rapidly into new markets!

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the creation, design, and delivery of the strategies for People Operations including People Systems, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits and Supplier Management within the People & Culture function.
  • Oversee the delivery of effective employee administration & HR transaction activity across the scope of the employee lifecycle.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a fit for purpose and effective People Technology portfolio delivering to customer expectations & agreed service standards.
  • Ownership of our employment contracts, agreements compliance and global policies.
  • Manage the development and implementation of compensation & benefits processes and practices, e.g. the global salary review process.
  • Develop and manage the HR operations budget.
  • Owner of key external supplier relationships globally (e.g. HiBob, Culture Amp)
  • Lead HR projects like e.g. job banding, harmonization of benefits, M&A related integration.
  • Track and analyze key People metrics and KPIs, use data to drive improvements in HR processes and strategies.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and People & Culture colleagues.
  • Ensure that the employee experience is at the heart of all decision-making processes and employee services provided.
  • Line manager responsibility of one person (possibility to have additional team members in the future as we continue to grow).


Proven experience (minimum 7-10 years) in a senior HR Operations role or a similar role, with a track record of strategic and operational HR leadership.Experience with HR IT systems (HiBob, Workday or similar) including payroll tools.

Experience in designing compensation and benefits programs and processes.

Data and insights driven approach.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights, experience in data and reporting using excel.
  • Fluency in English verbal and written is required.
  • Good understanding of employment legislation and data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR).
  • Experience in change management and project management, ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
