About the position

We are seeking an Application Training Specialist with a strong background in IT and customer service. This role focuses on optimizing the use of Sectra applications for our customers. The ideal candidate will have extensive training and clinical experience in MRI, CT, and Breast Imaging, strengthening our applications team. Experience in managing a team or project in a hospital environment is highly desirable.

As part of this team, you will handle customer training for PACS and add-on packages, as well as provide go-live support for new customers. Excellent presentation and computer skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple simultaneous demands are essential. We are looking for someone who is passionate about mentoring customers and peers, can think creatively, and remains calm under pressure.

As an Application Specialist, you will:

  • Perform PACS workflow analysis
  • Plan and schedule training activities during the deployment
  • Deliver web-based and on-site training to ensure they have the skills and tools necessary to optimize the use of our solutions
  • Provide remote diagnostic support for technical, clinical, and end-user problems using the latest remote access technologies
  • Provide a positive, cohesive company image when discussing the company, products, and management decisions with internal and external customers
  • Organize and provide appropriate go-live support
  • Develop new processes to improve the efficiency of applications work and raise the quality of customer product understanding and satisfaction
  • Support our project portfolios or customer success teams with various tasks as needed

Skills & Requirements

As an Application Specialist , the following requirements apply:

  • Fluency in English
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent, with a strong academic performance or a strong clinical background, such as experience as an imaging technologist
  • 5-10 years' experience as an imaging technologist with experience leading or managing teams
  • You like to teach and explain complex things and you are good at it
  • Have an understanding of and experience in PACS, both using and configuring
  • Are organized, show initiative and have good time management skills
  • Have the ability to balance multiple projects and assignments to meet stated deadlines with quality results and work with little to no supervision
  • Travel Required (up to 80%) as directed by manager. It will vary month to month

In addition, we consider it an asset if you also:

  • Have knowledge of the Sectra PACS (Radiology, Orthopedics, Mammography and Pathology) including add-on functionality (Volume Visualization, Active Directory, Teaching files)
  • Are experienced in various modalities including, but not limited to, CT, MRI, and Breast Imaging (ultrasound, mammography, etc.)
  • Have leadership or manager experience
  • Have experience leading projects
  • Have experience as a SuperUser
  • Have previous experiences as a PACS Administrator
  • Hold a CIIP certificate

Other information:

The salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $100,000 based on experience and qualifications.
