About the role

  • We are looking for a new Area Sales Manager South of the Country, (ideally South East based) and we believe this would be ideal for a manufacturing / distributor / merchant / construction background and someone that would like to take the next step in their career. To be part of our team, to sell market leading manufactured insulation products. To sell direct to Roofing Contractors and Leading Roofing system suppliers into the Commercial, Residential, Education, Hospital, Leisure, Retail and Industrial sectors on new Build and Refurbishment projects.
  • Most of your time will be spent developing existing and new Relationships with Roofing Contractors and Roofing system supplier customers to ensure our Insulation products are bought and specified by our customers and installed on new projects .
  • Circa 40% new client focus and 60% Existing Client Focus to generate new sales.

What will you do?

  • Preparing project specific quotations and negotiating orders
  • Preparing project specific U value calculations
  • Tracking/updating and following up all project quotations using our CRM system.
  • Visiting existing and new Customers Daily with Administration days from Home.
  • Liasing with our orders team /Customer to provide a key account support role for our customer.
  • Conducting presentations and CPD’s to Customer teams
  • Visiting projects as and when necessary to review quality and to take marketing/sales content.
  • Gaining feedback on Industry prices ,competitor activity and Industry Knowledge.

Your profile

  • Professional, friendly and resourceful approach with outgoing personality and strength of character
  • The individual must have the right of residence and right to work in the UK
  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate to drive results.
  • Proven track record in technically focussed technical sales, business development and account management within the Roofing/Building Envelope.
  • Proven commercial awareness.
  • Management of customer relationships and strong networking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills - written, verbal and listening.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation, internally and externally.
  • Proven negotiator.
  • Strong team player.
  • Positive, proactive mindset.
  • Approachable, engaging and outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Computer IT skilled with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft packages.
