Engagement Description

They are seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager/CEO to lead and manage a diverse group of companies across multiple industries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the overall health of the business group.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong business acumen, capable of steering the organization towards achieving its long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement business strategies that align with the company’s vision, mission, and long-term objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and industry trends to drive growth and expansion.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across all companies within the group.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of all companies to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
  • Establish and maintain effective operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Financial Oversight:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and financial plans.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide regular updates to the Board of Directors.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing executive team.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Foster talent development and succession planning.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson for the group of companies.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between all companies within the group.

Growth and Expansion:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Lead initiatives for market expansion and diversification.
  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing and business development strategies.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
  • Establish performance metrics and KPIs for each company.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement necessary improvements.

Reports to: Board of Directors

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience as a General Manager, CEO, or similar executive role.

  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices.

  • Strong understanding of diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, sales, finance, etc.

  • Familiarity with various business functions and industry standards.

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing multiple companies or business units.

  • Knowledge of and experience in various industries.

  • Strong network within the business community.

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business environments.
