About this position:

As a System Architect at Podme, you will be a key player in shaping the future of our digital content delivery platform. This role involves designing, implementing, and evolving the end-to-end architecture to ensure a seamless, scalable, and innovative experience for our users. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust and sustainable technical solutions and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of high-performance, scalable, and reliable streaming platforms and applications.

• Lead the Architecture Forum and work closely with Tech Leads and Data Leads to align architectural decisions and design systems that can efficiently scale to meet growing user demands.

• Define system specifications, guidelines, and architecture standards.

• Provide guidance and training to other engineers on architectural principles.

• Conduct regular system audits to identify areas for improvement.

• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and existing tech stack

• Integrate new technologies and third-party services seamlessly into the existing architecture.

• Implement performance monitoring and optimization strategies to ensure a responsive and enjoyable user experience.

• Optimise data storage systems for scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, workflows, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience (2+ years) as a System Architect or a similar role in the development of digital content delivery platforms.

• Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems.

• In-depth knowledge of audio streaming protocols, content delivery networks (CDNs), and data storage solutions.

• Experience with mobile app architectures

• Experience in technical research and picking a suitable technology stack for a given problem.

• Experience in creating, managing and delivering technical strategy.

• Familiarity with security best practices in digital content delivery.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
