Technical Manager, Cloud Operations

Are you eager to bring mobile games to life with cloud-based experiences in a DevOps manner? Do you feel inspired by developing innovative services for F2P games? If yes, you might be the Technical Manager of Cloud Operations we are now looking for to join our Games Technology team!

In this role you will lead our cloud operations and ensure the mission critical game services are highly automated, highly available and the underlying cloud infrastructure is continuously improved. Our cloud native state-of-the-art service platform has been designed for automation, scalability and operational simplicity. We serve hundreds of millions of users and host some of the most cutting edge cloud services out there, responding to thousands of requests per second from all corners of the globe.

You will play a key role in defining the cloud operations vision and roadmap, with the goals of:

  • Improving game service SLAs
  • Improving automation and availability
  • Improving monitoring tools and processes
  • Researching and leveraging latest cloud technologies
  • Improving cost efficiency

Skills & Requirements

What you’ll take under your wings:

  • Leading a highly skilled team of Cloud Engineers in a hands on way
  • Coaching and supporting the team to achieve its best
  • Managing and participating in a 24/7 on-call support rotation
  • Together with the development team, plan and architect our cloud platform roadmap
  • Supporting game studios with anything related to cloud services
  • Managing and reporting of hosting budget
  • Managing contracts and relationships with key software and hosting vendors

You’ll be an excellent match to this role if you have:

  • A degree in computer science or similar
  • 2+ years leading an operations team
  • 10+ years in Linux systems administration, systems engineering or DevOps
  • Experienced in DevOps style development in a web scale cloud environment
  • Experienced in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Passion and understanding of latest cloud technologies especially on AWS
  • Ability to think strategically, drive to learn more and share knowledge to others
  • Good teamwork, leadership and communication skills
