We are looking for an exceptionally innovative and driven individual to join in our mission to build a greener future. This role is part of Northvolt’s sodium ion team based in Västerås and Stockholm. By joining us, you will be a key player in developing the next generation of battery technology, an even more sustainable and competitive product and contribute to the global transition towards a clean and carbon-neutral energy future.

About the job

You will be an integral part of the program office, interacting with internal and external stakeholders to create the foundation for connecting the development and industrialization efforts to commercial and financing initiatives.
In the role you will be responsible for creating and maintaining qualitative and quantitative analysis of ongoing efforts within the program, helping in steering the development to success while getting unique insights and learnings in both technical and commercial settings. You will gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations.

This is stretching from R&D efforts all the way to end-customer value creation and financing strategies. You are expected to be creative in finding solutions to push yourself and your colleagues across the organization to ensure progress and success of the program. You will primarily interact with, and get support from, senior managers within the program to help guide your work and career at Northvolt.

This role gives you the opportunity to be part of an exciting new project from the beginning and allows you to grow and take on additional responsibility fast. The dedicated core team includes cell design, process and materials engineering, commercialization strategy and factory development, etc. However, this project requires cross-functional contribution across the entire organization which will be a key aspect of this role. In this position, you will join a passionate team that is driven by creating an even more sustainable product which will make a significant impact for Northvolt and the transition towards a greener future.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
