We are looking for a Digital Visual Designer who is excited about making the world a more meaningful place through beautiful and intuitive products and experiences. Your role will focus on the visual part of the digital design process — from defining the concept to crafting beautiful, easy-to-use interfaces. You have a solid understanding of graphic design, and apply your skills across visual design, UI, user experience, and prototypes. With your work, you seek to marry visual and functional design and bring it to great levels. You clearly communicate your design choices and reasons based on the reality of each project: from user needs to business needs and context of use.
As a Visual Designer at Above, you'll dive into collaborative projects with a diverse team, including industrial designers, researchers, and engineers, to deliver top-tier solutions across a spectrum of projects, ranging from digital products to tangible experiences. About the position

• Designing simple and beautiful digital products at the intersection of digital, physical, design, and technology
• Coming up with innovative visual solutions for product experiences that can be apps, websites, on-hardware displays, watches, robots (!!)
• Securing a good visual foundation for the projects you work on.
• Coming up with innovative ways to design and prototype for different types of screens, always bringing your work outside of big high-resolution displays (unless that’s where it will end up!).
• Confidently presenting your design process and solutions, clearly articulating your decisions to team and client.
• Participating in the production and delivery of design systems.
• Working with motion within UIs to bring product flows to life.
• Working closely together with our developers to prototype and iterate often.
• Supporting junior designers and interns

• 2+ years of professional experience as a Digital Visual Designer in a varied range of projects, e.g. at a digital design agency.
• You have experience creating solid digital products and experiences, and your consideration for the user’s experience is visible in everything you design.
• You genuinely love the craft, and you’re always on top of what’s next in design and technology.
• You’re excited about creating innovative visual concepts.
• You’re used to interacting with clients.
• You enjoy team collaborations but can just as easily conceptualize on your own.
• You make sure to always create a design language that is based on key principles and brand guidelines.
• You know your tools like the back of your hand (especially Figma).
• You bring your designs to life with various prototyping tools, such as Figma, Framer, and Protopie, working with animations and transitions as crucial elements in your work.
• You have experience working collaboratively with front-end developers.
