The team you will be joining:

The mission of the IT Systems department is to establish IT-solutions that handle the growth reMarkable is facing, while at the same time giving us a competitive edge. We strive to make these solutions secure, supported and high-quality sources of valuable business insight. As a Senior IT Architect, you will play a central role in defining our architecture blueprint and this is how you will spend your days:

  • Designing scalable, flexible, and secure IT solutions that meet business goals and objectives

  • Define principles, standards, guidelines, and best practices

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and performance of our IT systems

  • Develop and maintain the architecture blueprint, encompassing business processes, applications, data, and technology infrastructure

  • Collaborate with reMarkable teams to understand their needs and translate them into architectural requirements

  • Provide those teams guidance and support to ensure adherence to architectural principles and standards

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on technology strategy, investments, and risk management

  • Conduct architecture reviews and assessments

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as an IT Architect or in a similar role

  • Experience with Data Governance

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale IT systems; such as ERP, CRM or E-commerce platforms

  • Knowledge of cloud computing, microservices architecture, API management, and DevOps practices

  • Knowledge of Business Processes; such as sales and finance

  • Analytical skills and enjoy problem solving

  • Clear communication and listening skills, and ability to translate technical concepts into language other departments can understand

In addition it is beneficial to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

  • A sense of humor, curiosity, and cooperation

  • A growth mindset, with the willingness to learn and keep up to date on both technology and business trends

  • Certification or exposure to TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks, as well as Scrum or other agile methodologies

  • Hands-on experience on business process design

  • Experience in one or more of the following business domains: eCommerce, Order management, Supply Chain/Logistics, Finance, Product Lifecycle Management, Human Resources
