We are looking for an experienced and driven Test & Validation Project Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our Test & Validation team based in Skellefteå, Sweden. By joining us, you will be a key player in ensuring high performance and quality in our products and contribute to the success of one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job
As a Test & Validation Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to be a key player coordinating customer project testing activities. In addition, collaborating cross functionality to establish digitalized testing facilities & solutions to deliver best in class results to Northvolt and its customers.

About the team

The quality department is led by the Director of Quality and composed of three main aspects, Production Quality, Compliance Quality and Technology Quality (Quality Control, Test and Validation). The department focuses on implementing a strong quality mindset across the organization and is amongst one of the most cross-functional in the organization.

The Test & Validation Project Manager will be a part of a small Test & Validation Industrialization team, made up of Project Engineers and Project Managers. The team will be greater than the sum of its parts, leveraging internal know-how, driving advanced technologies, data innovations, Test & Validation methods and new facilities, ensuring Northvolt can sustainably assure cell Quality.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as the main interface to the project and launch teams, including taking responsible for capacity planning, reporting and escalations.
  • Work closely with the central and local Test & Validation teams to plan and optimize work flows, whilst meeting contractual obligations to the customers.
  • Support in driving the digitalization of the T&V operating model, including data driven scheduling, KPI reporting and results traceability.
  • Support and lead projects as varied as establishing new testing facilities or managing and documenting test specifications.
  • Work with the wider team to ensure adequate supplier service level agreements are managed and maintained
  • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with relevant key players across the organization
  • Promote Project management best practices in the team and contribute to the building of project governance and frameworks adhering to Customer Project Quality Assurance milestones, including documentation management, reporting, risk assessments, and budget reviews.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Degree in MSc in relevant field of project engineering
  • 4-6 years of experience in project management
  • Experience in smart sensing technology and/or data engineering projects and/or customer validation projects
  • Coordinating skills in a highly flexible and frequent changing environment is a must
  • Exceptionally good problem-solving skills
