Job Description
As the Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design of the Aerbon DAC system and when built to optimize the operational aspects of the facilities. This role requires a solid engineering background, drive and attention to detail. If successful, the role may lead to a Head of Operations role.
Key Responsibilities:
Design engineering:
Supply chain management
- Work directly or with the Aerbon team on ensuring a stable and cost-effective supply chain
Operations:

Oversee pilot plant and testing

Oversee the day-to-day operations of Aerbon Direct Air Capture facilities, ensuring output, uptime and safety
Team Management (after pilot phase):
- Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

During the first 3-6 months the role will be part time. Thereafter, the intention is for you to become full-time and a founding partner of the company. The level of involvement is dependent on traction and financing but we foresee the person is able to initially spend at least 30-50% of full time on the project and be able to ramp this up to full time should this be necessary in the future.
Skills & Requirements

Master's and/or PhD degree in Engineering or a related field.

Proven experience in mechanical design of process equipment

Experience with handling experimental rigs or pilot facilities or large scale plants (is a merit)

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

The journey ahead:
We are a spin-off from world leading KTH research with a solid technological base. The technology has been proven in the lab and the next phase is to prove the technology in a pilot plant of 1000 tons per annum capacity. We need to perform detailed engineering of the plant, procure necessary equipment and construct the plant, as well as plan for and run tests once built.
For this we need an entrepreneurial and driven new team member to help us on this challenging journey to prove the technology in a pilot plant and looking further to build and operate large-scale plants.
