About this position

As Head of Insights, you will play a crucial role in shaping data-driven strategies, optimising decision-making processes, and providing valuable insights to drive business growth across Podme. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strong leadership, and business acumen to make data an invaluable asset for the organisation's growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of 5-7 data professionals. This will require recruitment and people management skills/experience. We need you to take good care of our people and business.

  • Take ownership of our strategic focus area “Timely and Relevant Insights.”

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of data infrastructure, including data warehouse, and analytics tools, proactively seeking opportunities to optimise time to data, data quality and model agility.

  • Evolve the team’s ability to extract actionable insights from data and ensure we have tools and forecast/prediction models to support the business with advanced analytics and recommendations based on user behaviour and historical records.

  • Strengthen the cross-functional collaboration with other teams and departments.

  • Be active within the greater insight community within Schibsted, keeping us connected and inspired and be the voice of Podme.

  • Contribute to a culture of cross-functional collaboration based on trust, transparency and mutual commitment where professionalism and fun coexist.

The Head of Insights reports to the Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO).


  • Master's degree or equivalent in a quantitative discipline (i.e. Statistics, SW Engineering).

  • Excellent data analysis and visualisation skills, proficiency with relevant tools and software.

  • Deep understanding of data governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience in leading data and analytics disciplines (3+ years).

  • Experience in people management (2+ years).

  • Strong leadership skills including effective communication and stakeholder management.

Bonus skills

  • Prior experience as Head of Insights or a similar position.

  • Prior experience in driving AI strategy.
