At Morrow Batteries our ambition is to develop and manufacture the world’s most cost-effective and sustainable battery cells. Our vision is to enable and accelerate the green energy transition through the production of sustainable batteries.
We are not merely making products; we are looking to revolutionize the sustainable battery industry and develop the next generation of battery cell technology. We are keen to promote our mission, passion, and values both to our team within and to the world outside.

About the job:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Process Quality Engineer to work within the Process Quality Inspection team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and execute Process Control Plans, as well as analyse and validate results to drive continuous improvement in our in-process quality.

You are working directly with customer projects, production team and cell development to ensure excellent quality, performance and safety of Morrow's battery cells.

The ideal candidate is analytical and logical with an ability to identify opportunities and improvements to drive increased quality through data driven approaches, i.e. six sigma and statistical methodologies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and develop process control plans based on process flow diagrams and PFMEAs in accordance with product and customer-specific requirements.
  • Conduct process control activities using various testing equipment across different manufacturing processes, structure them into comprehensive process control reports.
  • Continuously monitor production operations, perform process and product audits, and contribute to continuous improvement activities in production processes.
  • Analyze statistical process control performance metrics such as Cpk, Cmk, and Ppk, and document findings clearly and systematically.
  • Lead problem-solving activities related to deviations and quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement appropriate improvement solutions.
  • Continuously improve procedures based on acquired experience, relevant knowledge, and updates.
  • Lead trouble shooting and root cause analysis activities in relation to deviations and quality issues in the production process, e.g., 8D and non-conformity investigations.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer quality engineers to deliver required input to customer projects, e.g. PPAP documentation.
