Do you envision better futures and use prototyping to experience and test them? Are you an interaction designer who codes – a UX engineer who thrives in early concept explorations?

We are looking for a Design Technology intern to join us for 6 months (or more) at our Above Studio in Malmö or Stockholm – starting in the beginning of 2025. This is a paid internship.

We work with some of the world's most exciting clients on emerging technologies and new experiences. Our work ranges widely from smart home experiences to healthcare devices, to automotive spaces.

What you will do

• Explore new product experiences across digital and physical in multidisciplinary teams

• Bring ideas and concepts to life through prototypes

• Prepare and support user testing sessions for new products

• Build tools that enable teams to experiment with new experiences

• Inspire us with your insights and fresh takes

Your background

We mostly work with consumer products - so you should be interested in the world of user experience design. A lot of our work is prototyping experiences that live across digital and physical – so you should have some experience with coding and perhaps one or two prototyping tools (ProtoPie, Unity, TouchDesigner, React, Arduino, etc). Some experience with AI tools is a bonus. Beyond that, this role will be shaped by you and us together. We are super curious to see what new facets you could add to our work.

Too vague? Here are some general qualities that we'll be looking for:

• Good communication skills in spoken and documentation form

• An inspiring portfolio with solid conceptual thinking and applied technology that demonstrates your skills in (for example): coding, game engines, electronics and/or machine learning.

• Curiosity in working with us at the intersection of design x tech
