About the company

The world's remaining rainforests are under threat, and we can't afford to wait any longer. Rainforest Foundation Norway (RFN), established in 1989 in response to a global plea by pop star Sting and Chief Raoni, has pioneered rights-based rainforest protection for over three decades. The importance of indigenous peoples and local communities as the stewards of their rainforests is now widely evidenced and the urgency is clear: Supporting indigenous and traditional peoples of the world's remaining rainforests in their efforts to protect their environment and fulfill their rights is a recognized priority at the forefront of the battle to keep the climate within +1.5 degrees and halt biodiversity loss.
