UMC is opening a master's thesis position for autumn 2024. We are looking for creative and motivated students with a background in statistics, data science, computer science, health informatics or similar. If that is you, please contact us to find a project that excites you! We have a list of project ideas, and you will have a part in formulating the goal and methods to be used in your project. Uppsala monitoring centre is a dynamic non-profit organization with the mission of improving the safety of medicines throughout the world. By managing and analyzing VigiBase, WHO’s global database of reported potential side effects of medicinal products, consisting of more than 40 million reports from patients and health care professionals in more than 150 countries, UMC is internationally recognized for its unique role in detecting the adverse effects of medicinal products.

Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC) is a centre for international service and scientific research in the field of pharmacovigilance. We are the WHO Collaborating Centre for International Drug Monitoring, and manage the technical and operational aspects of the WHO Programme for International Drug Monitoring since 1978.

As an independent, non-profit foundation, we support the World Health Organization, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders who share our vision of advancing medicines safety.
