Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an IT Installation Technician to join our bold team in Skellefteå.
In joining us you will play a key part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
You will be a part of building a new competent and dependable team from scratch, capable to scale Northvolt’s operations in Sweden and beyond.
As IT Installation Technician you will be a part of the Ett Digitalization unit, working with the latest technology to enable the future of energy!
This role is focused on (but not limited to) deploying and maintaining equipment in the production environment. This role will also give a route to further develop knowledge and skill that can build towards career advancement.
The expected competences for this role include:
- IT Hardware knowledge
- Cable management
- Entry level systems knowledge
- Entry level network knowledge
Supporting knowledge in the areas around manufacturing IT are desired, such as:
- IT Security
- Manufacturing
- Manufacturing Execution Systems
- Enterprise Resource Planning
- Data collection and telemetry
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deliver IT Hardware to the Shopfloor
- Install and test hardware in the production environment
- Work with the other IT teams to ensure parts are ordered as needed
- Prioritize operations requests and coordinate with other Northvolt plants.

Skills & Requirements
As an entry level position, candidates are not expected to have formal qualification, however the baseline requirment is being able to demonstrate competence in physically deploying and setting up IT hardware via qualification or examples.
It is a bonus to have:
Education/Experience
- Relevant certification in IT or related fields
- Experience from participating in IT for manufacturing
- Good to have worked in and have knowledge of systems like ERP, MES, PLM
Specific Skills/Abilities
- Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
- Has the ability to take decisions even in the face of uncertainty
- Is visionary and contributes to push beyond conventional wisdom
