Salary range: Up to £26,000 Per annum DOE

General Summary

Are you a hyper-organised reading addict with an interest in marketing and an eye for design?

Bonnier Books UK is looking for a marketing assistant to support the marketing teams across its adult publishing divisions, Zaffre and Black & White – home to incredible non-fiction from the likes of Nick Frost, Kate Garraway and Lawrence Dallaglio, market leading fiction from the likes of Heather Morris, Wilbur Smith and Christy Lefteri, and many more best-selling authors. You’ll be working on everything from up-all-night thrillers and cosy crime through to heart-breaking non-fiction and the incredible stories of some of the most prominent people in the UK.

This role is crucial to supporting our market-leading marketing team. You’ll provide admin support, assist with social media management and content creation, contribute to marketing campaigns, and help create marketing material including digital assets and point of sale material for bookshops.

You’ll learn a lot, quickly, with a team that works across a large number of books at pace. We love what we do, and we’re looking for somebody that brings enthusiasm, ability and ambition.

Essential Responsibilities

  • General admin such as processing invoices, mailings, updating databases
  • Social media scheduling and basic content creation

  • Supporting, creating and scheduling email marketing campaigns

  • Monitoring social media engagement

  • Helping with events, launches and readings as required

  • General admin such as processing invoices, mailings, updating databases

  • Creating digital marketing assets

  • Creating retail marketing material and managing the flow of information and material delivery to select retailers

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • A genuine love of books

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptionally well-organised, professional and proactive

  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment

  • Creative and able to take the initiative

  • Good level of MS Office knowledge, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • Some experience of team management tools (Microsoft Teams, Asana, Monday, etc)

  • Basic knowledge of design software (Canva, Photoshop, etc)

  • At least six months publishing industry experience (work experience/internship placements of less than six months, and publishing-specific degree/access courses will also be considered)

  • Able to work to tight deadlines

  • A positive, can-do attitude
