Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Business Project Manager to join our passionate team in Skellefteå.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large-scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon-free society.

The Business Project Manager will be leading efforts to drive, manage and improve cross-functional projects at Northvolt ETT and be part of the ETT Business Systems & Process Office section within the IT & Digitalization Organization in Skellefteå.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Project Planning and Management: Define project scope and schedule, organize and lead project meetings, prepare progress reports, manage risks, and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with Group IT on business system projects for ETT and gather requirements for enterprise IT projects. Work closely with IT PMO & Digitalization PMO for cross-functional project planning.
  • Team Management: Assist in team development, remove roadblocks, leverage resources, and mentor team members.
  • System Adoption: Lead efforts to drive system adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Support the Director of IT and digitalisation in managing stakeholder communications and project governance.
  • Process Management and Improvement: Define and manage a project management process and champion ongoing process improvements for Agile Project Management.

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • BA or BS or equivalent experience is required; MA or MS is a plus
  • Very effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team-building
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • Proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using Agile Project Management tools such as Jira or equivalent
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view

Personal success factors

  • Solid understanding of software implementation life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing IT projects using Agile methodologies including 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development
    environment with multi-function teams. PMP preferred
  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred
  • Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 5-15 team members
