L1 Support Engineer

Because, when enterprises pivot to usage-based business models, they often make an unfortunate discovery. Their systems weren’t built to handle the massive data volumes and complexity that usage-based models generate. This causes them to leak revenue and respond too slowly to customer demand. DigitalRoute solves this by creating a real-time usage data layer for enterprises. Our products transform raw usage data into clear information for billing, in real time and at high scale.

We're now looking for a System Support Engineer to join and help us reach new heights as a team!

What you'll do

  • Answer and handle incoming customer support cases via Support/Service desk and phone
  • Acts as frontline to confirm problems and capture needed information
  • Resolves issues to the extent that application and technical constraints allow
  • Build software packages
  • Deliver software packages
  • Monitor Cloud solutions including verification of alarms and alerts
  • Collect operational measurements and identify trends around system performance and health

What you'll bring

  • Computer literate – both personally and from a business context
  • Good knowledge of Java SE or Java EE will be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of the UNIX runtime environment and databases will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages will be an advantage
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook
  • Ability to work in a team locally and also with other teams in other parts of the world
  • Ability to work on different shifts. E.g. Europe & US Time Zone
  • Good interaction skills
  • Fluent in English, reading, and writing
