Role Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, Payroll & finance assistant - HRX is responsible for maintaining payroll, pensions, expenses management and various finance support tasks provided to the business within the UK.

Key areas for the role:

  • Ensure company payroll and pension responsibilities are effectively discharged within the UK
  • Oversee the UK staff expense management process
  • Oversee sundry administrative and accounting activities

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the UK monthly payroll
  • Prepare and submit the monthly pension scheme contributions report
  • Build and maintain effective, user-friendly working relationships with the internal People function and external benefit, payroll bureau and pension providers
  • Prepare all annual payroll reports including P11Ds
  • Maintain, support and process the UK staff expense management process on the concur system
  • Ensure all staff expense claims are reviewed and compliant with expense reimbursement group policies
  • Oversee sundry administrative activities such as the UK mobile phone and credit card programmes
  • Support basic accounting activities such as Accounts Payable as and when required
  • Any other duties and ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Head of Finance

Skills & Requirements

Experience and skills:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage and meet key deadlines
  • Team player who enjoys working cross-functionally
  • Previous experience of dealing with payroll / benefit programmes
  • Must be organised, thorough and accurate demonstrating a high level of professionalism and integrity at all times whilst dealing with confidential information
  • Enthusiastic and highly motivated
  • A willingness to be flexible and adaptable and to thrive within a changing environment

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the concur expense management system preferable but not essential
  • Experience of payroll and liaising with an external payroll bureau
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills
  • Basic accounting processing and reconciliation skills
