Following the successful launch of the reMarkable 2, which was named one of TIME's top 100 inventions of 2020, our subscription service Connect in 2021, and the Type Folio in 2023, we've set ourselves exciting growth and product development goals for the coming years.
With a brand new campus opening in 2024 at Majorstuen in Oslo, and exciting products and services in development, we need new colleagues to join our journey. That’s where you come in.
About the role
As a Senior System Engineer at reMarkable you will be a part of the unit responsible for developing and maintaining low-level software for our current and future products. You will be working closely together with other domain experts in a cross-functional team, contributing to solving complex problems in a high-paced environment. This includes, but is not limited to, working with requirements, specifications, and technology studies.
In reMarkable we have all disciplines gathered at the same location. You will be exposed to experts within Embedded and application development, user experience, design, finance, marketing, and logistics to name a few.
Further tasks and responsibilities

Own Embedded requirements on both new and existing products

Own Embedded architecture and collaborate with application developers to establish well defined interfaces between the domains

Own functional descriptions and lead work with design specifications

Lead technology studies to further push innovation

Lead development methodology improvements
-
Work with manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, industrial designers, mechanical engineers, internal and external hardware developers and other software engineers

Master or Bachelor’s degree from a university or college

Experience with System Engineering
