Startup Partner:Curacel

Curacel's mission is to make it easy and pleasant to get & use risk protection in emerging markets.

They are building the rails to make insurance work for the next billion people in emerging markets.

Curacel creates APIs that enable insurers to connect with digital distribution channels and administer their claims cost-effectively.

Their products include:

  • Grow (DistributionAPI), Add insurance to any product
  • Collection(ClaimsAPI), Process insurance claims faster
  • Detection (FraudAPI), Detect fraud in the claims process

Engagement Description

Curacel is looking for a Senior Enterprise Account Executive to help the company generate new revenue by establishing partnerships with medium to large-sized insurers and insurance brokers in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Deliverables

  • Generate net-new insurance business revenue primarily within enterprise accounts.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain sales activities and plans to create and maintain a sales pipeline for Curacel.
  • Meet sales revenue targets.
  • Lead and coordinate contract negotiations to successfully partner with or sell to clients.
  • Engage in the full sales cycle, from lead generation to close.
  • Effectively use CRM tools to manage the entire sales process and maintain accurate records in our CRM system.
  • Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share it with internal teams to optimize our value proposition.

Reports to: CEO

Skills & Requirements

  • Intensely disciplined and self-motivated with the ability to execute well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas, preferably in the solutions industry.
  • At least 3 years of B2B sales experience, selling to FSIs in multiple countries in SSA.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies aimed at consultative selling.
  • Excellent persuasive, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under stress.

Nice to have

  • SaaS experience
  • Business proficiency in French is a real plus
