About the position
Welcome to an exciting opportunity with our team! We're on the lookout for a talented Xamarin/MAUI developer who's not only passionate about crafting mobile applications but also eager to dive into some backend adventures. In this role, you'll find yourself immersed in a dynamic environment where 80% of your time will be dedicated to flexing your Xamarin expertise. The remaining 20% will give you opportunity to work on our beloved BFF (Backend for Frontend). It's worth noting, that we anticipate the ratio to shift, with the potential for you to spend more time on the backend.
In The Mobile Team, we have a strong emphasis on quality, user experience, and team performance. To ensure a streamlined workflow, we've taken steps to minimize unnecessary meetings (we even got rid of the standard daily! You can read more here). Our development process is built on the principles of trunk-based development, allowing us to accelerate progress and maintain a high level of collaboration. Additionally, we're dedicated to regularly releasing updates to our applications, staying agile and responsive to user needs.

Skills & Requirements
Who are we looking for?
We are either looking for a Xamarin/MAUI developer that is eager to work with our BFF, or (the other way around), a dotnet developer that is eager to work with Xamarin/MAUI.
It would be neat if the stack mentioned above is close to your heart.
Additionally, we are looking for someone that:
- is a team player – even though we don’t have many meetings, we’d like you to help others when it’s needed. If you have skills that others don’t have, we would love it if you could share that with you,
- loves delivering value to the user – we’d like our application to be as good for the user as possible. We try to release often. We are agile and dynamic (but not stressed!). We would love if you liked to work in such environment,
- tries to keep up to modern development standards – we are looking for someone who is passionate about the development and is constantly seeking for ways how to improve the codebase. It would be perfect if you knew things like: DDD, CQRS, trunk-based development, feature flags etc.
- challenges status quo – we are looking for someone open-minded that is not afraid to ask difficult questions. Some that feels the answer «we’ve always done this like this» is the most dangerous answer
- is fluent in English – as Simployer is based in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Poland we speak English on a daily basis. We also offer English lessons to those who are not that confident speaking in English!

I’m Łukasz and I am a leader of The Mobile Team. Our team is responsible for the development of both mobile app (made in Xamarin) and BFF (written in dotnet). I must say, maintaining both is huge fun! Our team is async & remote, and we are highly focused on team performance. Last year we released 9 versions of the app, and we would like to increase this number in upcoming years.
Right now, we are a team of 2 developers (🇵🇱), 1 QA (🇵🇱), 1 product manager (🇳🇴) & 1 designer (🇳🇴) and we are looking for additional person to help us deliver better & faster.
