Northvolt Ett is the core of Northvolt operations with a multibillion investment budget and the first scale-up towards gigavolumes of cells to supply our core customers in Europe. The candidate would naturally be part of the leadership team in Northvolt Ett and an important player to continue to build out the full local finance team with local responsibility on business control, project control, financial control and local operations as well as managing the external financing requirements.

About the job
As Senior Manger Project Control for NV Ett you will be a critical member of the project organization, and you will bring a finance perspective to the the full set of tasks, focusing on project planning, execution and follow up.

The size of our ongoing project activities is large and span of over multi-year horizon.

The current team consist of 2 employees but will eventually grow over time. You will be a part of further building up and develop the local finance team and strengthen current processes in place as well as implementing additional requirements needed for the next phase of growth.

Our organisational setup is matrix-like, and you will act both as the finance business partner to the Program organization and to the VP of Finance.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Keep a clear-eyed perspective on financing and Capex Spend.
  • Consolidate all ongoing programs at Northvolt Ett.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, both as part of the project organisation, the overall finance team and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a business partner for the project organizations.

Skills & Requirements

In order to succeed in this role we believe you have:

  • 10+ years of experience in finance preferably in large Greenfield projects.
  • You have probably have worked in similar roles before, and also led teams to deliver such tasks and feel comfortable leading others.
  • Sector-specific knowledge in construction and/or manufacturing industries.
  • Confidence and ability to build strong and challenging working relations with Commercial and Technical teams
  • Communication skills and the experience needed to lead a cross-functional project team working on major undertakings
  • Relevant qualifications in Finance from a leading institution or other professional Finance Qualification

  • Curious, commercial and technically minded with an entrepreneurial spirit

  • Exceptionally good problem-solving and negotiation skills

  • Solid language skills, including written and spoken English - Swedish is a plus.

  • Personal qualities that we cherish are flexibility, sense of quality, friendliness, motivation to take on new challenges, grit and a sense of humour
