Capgemini Engineering in Karlstad have a long history of offering thesis work opportunities for students. We strive to offer meaningful and interesting assignments, sometimes even connected to our clients that will act as project owner where you, as a student, get to take on the consultant role with support of the Capgemini office in Karlstad.
We also have thesis work projects that aim to build competence for us as consultants within business-critical areas where you, as a student, will work together with us to investigate and explore new technologies and tools that we need in our daily work.
All students doing their thesis work at Capgemini Engineering will be given a supervisor that will be your primary contact during your time at Capgemini, but since we're a small, close-knit office we're all available to you and you can of course ask anyone at the office for help if you need it.
About us
Capgemini Engineering is one of the world’s leading consultant companies within R&D. We are part of Capgemini Group with around 300 000 employees globally. In Scandinavia, our main areas of business are Industry, Automotive, Life Science and the Public Sector. Together with our global centers of expertise, we deliver solutions to both global clients and local start-up companies. During the spring of 2024 we will offer several students a place at Capgemini, and we will have opportunities for both C and E level thesis projects.
What we offer
We offer an opportunity for students to combine their thesis work with a meaningful and interesting practical assignment, offering the support and supervision from one of our consultants. The assignment is connected to a real-world customer project, alternatively involves the exploration of new technologies that hopefully will be useful in future work both for the student and for us as a company. As a thesis student with us you get access to our office, the opportunity to connect with and receive help from our talented colleagues, participate in office activities and much more.
What we are looking for
We want students that apply to write their thesis with us to be writing a C- or E-level thesis with a practical approach (Exjobb) at a Swedish university in the spring of 2024 within a Computer Science related program. Since we strongly believe that being in the office and seeing each other in person from time to time is an important part of working together, we also require that you are based in Karlstad.
If you already have an idea of what to write about or even a practical project in mind, we highly appreciate if you share this with us since it greatly improves the chances of us finding a suitable thesis supervisor for you.
