Scandic Destination Nordkapp seeks an F&B Manager who wants to contribute to unique experiences for our guests. We seek a candidate with enthusiasm and an eye for detail. As our F&B Manager you will be responsible for developing the destination's kitchen and restaurant concepts at one of Norway's most visited destinations.
Scandic Destination Nordkapp includes Nordkapphallen, the visitor center at the North Cape Plateau with café, bar, a-la carte and group restaurant; and the hotels Scandic Bryggen, Scandic Nordkapp and Scandic Honningsvåg, which operates with their own F&B concepts depending on the season.
Responsibilities & duties :
- Organize and oversee daily operations in the F&B departments
- Ensure quality and service levels in the day to day operation of the departments
- Shared responsibility in recruiting managers and service staff for the summer season
- Develop the destination's F&B concepts
- Actively participate in the planning of events and functions
- In house sales and customer follow-up
- Ordering, inventory and cost control
- Personnel and budget responsibility for the department
- Responsibility for IK Mat, IK Alkohol, internal control and HSE
The position is mostly administrative but also involves some operation in the departments when needed. You work closely with the Restaurant Managers, Head Chefs and Operations Manager and report to the General Manager.
Skills & Requirements
- You like to motivate and inspire your team and appear as a steady, positive and enthusiastic leader
- You are passionate about guest experiences, food & beverage and enjoy having fun at work even in a stressful situation
- You have good knowledge about catering to different dietary needs
- You work analytically, systematically and structured with the administrative tasks, but showcase your creative side to solve challenges and lift the guest experience further
- You live to maintain the highest level of Scandic's health and safety standards and work actively to reduce food waste
- You hold relevant education within hotel, restaurant and tourism and / or relevant experience in kitchen or restaurant management
- Good communicative and writing skills in English is required. Any Scandinavian language is a benefit

The position will require some work on the evenings, weekends and holidays.
