Capital Markets is part of KPMG Deal Advisory which consist of four departments: Capital Markets, Transaction Services, Deal Strategy and Corporate Finance. As a team, Capital Markets take on a wide range of assignments within our three service lines: IPO readiness (initial public offerings), Transaction Accounting and US Capital Markets.
Listed companies run their businesses in a regulatory environment. Within IPO readiness, we help our clients building robust organisations ready to act in a listed environment. As part of the preparations, we support our clients with project management, governance, risk and internal control and financial reporting. It is also of growing importance in the IPO preparations to support our clients to meet regulatory requirement and investor expectations on ESG. We are also part of KPMG's listing review team, performing listing reviews of companies applying for a listing at Nasdaq Stockholm Main Market. Within Transaction Accounting we support our clients with restructurings such as mergers, carve out, pro forma financials, IFRS conversion and we also assist clients and KPMG auditors with prospectus and comfort letter related issues. US Capital Markets projects support our Swedish clients aiming for an US listing with their preparations, including PCAOB audit up-lifts.
KPMG Capital Markets is a fast-growing team, and we are currently seeking new talents to join as Associates. We hope that you are the future talent to join our team starting in January 2024 or August 2024.
Your role
Working with us you will develop your knowledge in a variety of questions related to companies in a listed environment. Your daily work may for example include:
Participating in project management of large projects where we support companies on their journey from private to listed company
Supporting companies evaluating current state and design of their governance structure in accordance with the expectations of a listed company
Supporting companies to establish an internal control framework that ensures accurate financial reporting and information disclosures
Assisting in the analysis of structuring and accounting questions related to capital market transactions (e.g., carve outs, mergers / demergers, pro forma requirements, etc.)
Providing assurance services to clients undertaking capital raising, you will learn regulatory and compliance matters
Gaining an in depth understanding of the audit process and develop knowledge relating to US SEC clients
Building your network through relationships with senior stakeholders at the client and within KPMG

Further you have:
At a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business or economics. A Master’s degree is meriting.

Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Fluency in English, both written and orally
It is meriting if you have work experience from a consulting firm, auditing or a finance function.
