The role:
As a Junior Accountant you start in a supporting role in Accounting in the Financial Shared Services department. This department is responsible for the execution of Capgemini's accounting processes in Belgium and Luxembourg. A large part of the operational administration is carried out from our offshore locations. You work with a small team of experienced colleagues and will discover how we operate our financial processes and learn to use the associated systems. You start building your (international) network of finance professionals. There is access to a comprehensive training program to further shape your personal and professional development, tailored to your needs.
The responsabilities
Amongst other things, the Junior Accountant
Assists the Senior Accountant in a variety of financial operations.
Prepares and analyzes balance sheets reconciliations
Books journal entries
Assists in the month-end and year-end closing process
Assists with the internal and external audits
Collaborates with other members of the finance team
The job requirements
Bachelor or master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or another relevant field
0-2 years of experience
Strong analytical mindset and a good eye for detail
Good communication skills in English, Dutch and/or French
Flexible and proactive, self-initiator
