With our 130 years of experience along the Norwegian coast, we have connected coastal communities and given our guests an authentic experience whether they sail short or far, from port to port or full round trip. At the same time, we have transported important cargo between ports. Our original coastal voyage is known worldwide as "the world's most beautiful coastal voyage", combining beautiful scenery and authentic culture with delicious food experiences. In addition, we have our beautiful ship, MS Trollfjord, which sails to Svalbard in the summer and North Cape in the winter.
Now, Hurtigruten Norway are ready to increase the number of commercial ships on this iconic voyage. MS Otto Sverdrup sails from Hamburg to Norwegian destinations with primarily German guests, where we want new colleagues who can communicate in German.

Duties and responsibilities
The receptionist is one of the first people our guests meet and will ensure a good first impression and give guests a great stay by providing them with good service and information. The receptionist performs duties in accordance with the job description and duties imposed by the reception manager
Concierge services, preparing for arrivals, assisting with gangway
Friendly interaction with our guests to make their stay memorable and comfortable
Daily settlement routines, reconciliations and accounts, as well as other finances in related work imposed by the reception manager
Keep up to date and follow procedures and routines that apply to reception
The receptionist shall be a driving force for sales in all departments
Qualifications/Experience
A certificate of apprenticeship as a receptionist is a requirement
Advantage of boatsman's certificate
Advantage of STCW Fast Rescue Boats certificate
You must be fluent in German and English. Nordic language skills are desirable
Hurtigruten set high demands for safety on board, which means that all employees must have; Basic safety course for seafarers, Crowd and Crisis course, and approved health certificate from authorized seafarer doctor. There is no requirement to have completed the courses before applying, but you must be willing to take them, and please note that the individual must pay for the courses themselves
