We are looking for an experienced Quality Compliance Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Quality Compliance team based in Skellefteå. Reporting to the Director of Quality Compliance, you'll lead inter-departmental audits, ensure plant and product certifications, fortifying our commitment to quality. You'll set and enforce policies, conduct tests to align with regulations, and train teams in new protocols. Your expertise will shape our high-quality, customer-exceeding products, making an impact on our sustainable future.

About The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Compliance Manager to join our dynamic Quality team. Reporting to the Director of Quality Compliance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with certification standards, performing relevant testing, maintaining documentation and reporting, managing audits, and securing approval for Northvolt. Your responsibilities will encompass not only quality compliance and environmental stewardship, including ISO 14001, but also the integration and maintenance of the conformity of production (COP) process throughout the Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Ensure compliance with certification standards across the organization, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and other relevant industry-specific standards.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee robust quality control, testing, and inspection strategies and plans to ensure strict adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate and maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting systems to support quality and environmental compliance activities.
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external audits, including planning, execution, and resolution of audit findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely resolution of compliance issues.
  • Integrate the conformity of production (COP) process throughout the Business Unit, ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Drive Environmental Compliance initiatives, including ISO 14001, ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and driving continuous improvement in environmental performance.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to establish and maintain effective environmental management systems.
  • Drive awareness and understanding of quality, environmental, and COP compliance requirements throughout the organization, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, environmental compliance, and conformity of production, reporting findings to the Director of Quality Compliance and senior management.
  • Provide leadership, management, mentoring, and coaching to your teams, promoting their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization, cultivating a culture of excellence in quality and environmental compliance.

About You

As the Quality Compliance Manager, you will bring valuable experience in quality compliance management and a proven track record of implementing and maintaining certification standards. You have a deep understanding of quality and environmental compliance requirements, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and conformity of production (COP) processes. Your expertise in compliance testing methodologies, auditing practices, and documentation systems will enable you to successfully navigate audits and drive continuous improvement.

Skills & Requirements

We Believe That You Have

  • A relevant academic degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in quality and compliance management or equivalent positions.
  • Proven knowledge of relevant Quality and Compliance standards, specifically ISO and IATF.
  • Experience working in the chemical manufacturing or process industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge and/or experience in risk analysis and investigation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of working with Swedish authorities is preferred.
