What You'll Do:

As a Video Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of television and content delivery. Your responsibilities will span a diverse range of activities, ensuring that you're engaged in every step of our journey:

• Architecting Agile TV: Contribute to the design, architecture, and implementation of our Agile TV core platform. You'll have the chance to work on video management, transport, and distribution, enabling the seamless operation of our Next Generation TV service.
• Innovative Technology Integration: Define, design, and integrate state-of-the-art video technologies. You'll also be at the forefront of integrating networking solutions into our platform.
• Pioneering Evolution: Collaborate on evolving our existing platform to embrace cloud and Internet-oriented TV and content services. Your work will be guided by industry best practices, ensuring we remain at the forefront of technological advancement.
• Engineering Excellence: Craft robust, consistent, and resilient architectures and designs that form the foundation of our platform. Your expertise will contribute to a top-tier user experience and exceptional reliability.

• Technical Expertise: Your background in network design and implementation, technology integration, technology homologation and certification, video platform architecture, product engineering management, technology benchmarking, vendor management, and technical documentation gives you a strong foundation for success.

Requirements:

• Expertise on Networking technologies (Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Load Balancing)
• Expert on Multicast (IGMP, PIM, PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, MSDP)
• Expert on Switching and Routing protocols (802.1Q, Spanning Tree, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS)
• Knowledge of Cloud services and integration of hybrid platforms
• Knowledge in encoding profiles, bitrate ladders, and video compression technologies, ideally in the TV industry (IPTV or streaming services).
• Knowledge of Video codecs and Multimedia containers formats.
• Knowledge of Video Transcoding and packaging services.
• Knowledge of DRM technologies (Fairplay, Playready, Widevine…).
• Adaptative bit rate protocols (e.g.: Dash, HLS) - Video streaming
• Knowledge of CDN video services integration
• Spanish & English C1

This role requires to be currently residing in Spain and have a valid working permit.

It would be great if you also have experience using:

• Conditional Access System (CAS)
• DVB standards
• Cloud Services delivery (AWS or equivalent)
• Scripting with Python or equivalent
• Data storage
• Linux
