At the same time, we have transported important cargo between ports. Our original coastal voyage is known worldwide as "the world's most beautiful coastal voyage", combining beautiful scenery and authentic culture with delicious food experiences. In addition, we have our beautiful ship, MS Trollfjord, which sails to Svalbard in the summer and North Cape in the winter.
Now, Hurtigruten Norway are ready to increase the number of commercial ships on this iconic voyage. MS Otto Sverdrup sails from Hamburg to Norwegian destinations with primarily German guests, where we want new colleagues who can communicate in German.

Duties and responsibilities
Full operational responsibility for all F&B operations on board, including service and quality delivery, budget and personnel responsibility. Responsible for ensuring that all Standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed in daily operations.
Participation in the hotel's management team on board and contribute to efficient operations and achievement of overall key figures, NPS, sales and cost KPIs
Work actively to create commitment, facilitate training, and competence development
As HR Manager at Hurtigruten, you are responsible for optimal shift planning, follow-up of sick leave, as well as compliance with working and rest times
Conduct annual MyPerformance talks and provide continuous feedback
Create engagement in your department and motivate employees to upsell in all contexts
Responsible for implementation and follow-up of new concepts
Participate and lead guest activities on the ship
Ensure that the department acts in accordance with safety procedures, reports accidents to the manager, and implements measures to prevent such incidents from recurring
Compliance with the Group's procedures and other relevant internal policies, laws, regulations (etc. IK-Mat, HACCP)
Participation in various work at the request of the manager and during operational disruptions
Gathering feedback on food and service quality, and handling customer issues and complaints
Ensure world-class service delivery through presence in departments
Responsible for procurement and provisioning for the ship in cooperation with department managers
Qualifications/Experience
Certificate of apprenticeship in kitchen and restaurant subjects (extensive relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education)
Preferably experience with performance and personnel responsibility from similar positions
Professional expertise in food and beverage
Must be fluent in German and English
Hurtigruten set high demands for safety on board, which means that all employees must have; Basic safety course for seafarers, Crowd and Crisis course, and approved health certificate from authorized seafarer doctor. There is no requirement to have completed the courses before applying, but you must be willing to take them, and please note that the individual must pay for the courses themselves.
