We are now looking for a service-minded assistant housekeeping manager who is committed to giving that little extra to our guests. We are looking for you who have extensive experience from cabin/room cleaning/suite manager, preferably from hotels or cruise lines.

Duties and responsibilities

• Together with the housekeeping manager, follow up all cleaning on board
• Counting inventory and reporting needs for goods to the minibars to the housekeeping manager
• Together with the housekeeper manager carry out inspection of cleaning, crew and passenger cabins, as well as carried out work from external cleaning services
• Quality assure, control and further develop routines, as well as perform cleaning in accordance with checklists and cleaning plans

• Friendly interaction with our guests to make their stay memorable and comfortable

• Ensure that the level of service to passengers is complied with, including that the work tasks are performed as assigned by the company, uniform is used and looks clean and neat, and that passengers are treated correctly in the various situations

• In cooperation with the houskeeping manager, be the training manager for cleaning personnel

• Responsible for follow-up of our suite guests

• During operational interruptions participate in incidental work

• Make necessary allocations in cooperation with the housekeeping manager

Qualifications/Experience

• You must be fluent in English and speak German well. This is a requirement for the position
• Desirable with a certificate of apprenticeship in cleaning

• Advantage of experience from hotel or cruise line

• Hurtigruten set high demands for safety on board, which means that all employees must have; Basic safety course for seafarers, Crowd and Crisis course, and approved health certificate from authorized seafarer doctor. There is no requirement to have completed the courses before applying, but you must be willing to take them, and please note that the individual must pay for the courses themselves
