Commissioning Engineer
Northvolt Systems is looking for Commissioning Engineer to join our Aftermarket team in Gdańsk!
Northvolt is launching a new BESS product to the market soon and quickly scaling up to become a leading supplier in Europe and beyond.
To support the growth, we are expanding our ESS aftermarket team in Gdańsk with operational resources. We are searching for persons with experience from field operations and/or aftermarket for energy storage system or equivalent.
Key responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Plan and lead commissioning activities of Northvolt ESS products.
- Evaluate ESS customer projects, with a commissioning perspective and review designs
- Supervise and approve commissioning plans in accordance with project guidelines
- Supervise/perform onsite commissioning activities.
- Prepare and maintain commission documentation, testing processes and checklists.
- Responsible for commissioning reports for system turn on approval.
- Train customers on how to operate and maintain Northvolt products.

Skills & Requirements
Qualifications/education/experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or relevant field experience
- 5-10 years' field experience working with commissioning of ESS/grid applications
- Experience working with commissioning projects in high voltage environment
Specific skills
- English written and oral skills, additional languages are a plus
- General mechanical/electrical skills and high voltage experience
- Knowledge about control systems software, IT networks and hardware.
- Able to travel internationally, valid driver’s license
- Experience from renewable energy industry is a plus
