We are looking for a dedicated/experienced/driven Control Room Operator to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent/bold/passionate team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing/ramping up Northvolt ETT and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job
As Control room Operator you must contribute to the company business and success by making Northvolt ETT a great place to work. You must contribute to a safe and good work environment. Your tasks will vary and include both control room duties and production. You will have a key role in contributing to a safe work environment. Northvolt ETT is aiming for the world’s most equal and including workplace.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring production from the control room;
  • Control the equipment and process materials used in our production;
  • System management and monitoring performance;
  • Compile production reports and collect statistics for failure trends;
  • Awareness of production plan at all times and performance against it;
  • Perform risk analysis and issue permits according to routines;
  • Work proactively together with the maintenance and process team;
  • Take proper action when having failures and deviations affecting the production, report these as well as doing root cause analysis to solve the issues.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Experience working in control room or monitoring/dispatch environment.
  • Experience from working with some of the following; permit procedures, near miss reporting, safety audits, maintenance audits, process control systems, and daily following up on safety actions is an advantage.
  • Capacity to easily adapt to new changes and proactive and flexible mindset.
  • Good communication skills as you will work in close collaboration with many different teams.
  • High work ethic, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to monitor and apply the given operating instructions.
  • Ability to understand and interpret live status and communicate/dispatch resources and keep clear logs with activity reports.

Bonus points for:

  • Relevant education e.g., industrial program at gymnasium level, automation operator/technician education, process operator/technician education.
  • Experience from Process Industry (battery/pulp and paper/food/chemicals/microelectronics/oil & gas/pharmaceutical processing or similar) including safety procedures.
