The Security team at Basware focuses on the protection of assets against internal and external threats to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. In the role of a DevSecOps Engineer, your main duties will be to ensure accurate protection of assets by leading and developing custom Security Solutions to support finding and remediating Security Flaws. In this role, you will be responsible for
- Integrating security tools to Basware’s SIEM (Splunk) to send real time alerts and logs.
- Supporting development teams in integrating security solutions into continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Integrate security solutions to Jira for automated vulnerability management.
- Support vulnerability assessment and vulnerability management.
- Own Basware’s custom hardening, scanning and patching service.
- Own Basware’s custom API Inventory solution.
- Lead internal security assessments of APIs and Web applications using DAST tools.
- Coordinate with development teams to increase security education and awareness.
- Support security incident response
Skills & Requirements
In order to thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have
- Proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell.
- In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and tools such as Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of application security concepts, including secure coding, static/dynamic analysis, and vulnerability management.
- Knowledge of Security Frameworks like OWASP, NIST, CIS.
- Sound knowledge of network security.
- Sound knowledge of AWS infrastructure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience with security tools, such as vulnerability scanners, static code analysis tools, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Sound knowledge of AWS Security tools.
- Experience of Kali Linux, Parrot Security OS.
