We are looking for a driven Site Purchasing Specialist with the Focus on Equipment Delivery to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Supply Chain team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in ramping up Europe's first homegrown battery factory and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job

As a Purchasing Specialist with the Focus on Equipment Delivery you will be working hand in hand with the Engineering and Project Team. Your main focus will be the the commercial part of the delivery including change orders, non-conformities but also to organize weekly drumbeats and follow-up on the actions decided. You will be a large contributor to the successful delivery of Equipment within the project team and ensure that it will be handed over to Operations.

About the team

You will be part of our dedicated Supply Chain Team here in Skellefteå but also work very closely with the Central Purchasing Team as well as the onsite Engineering and Project Management Team. We are looking for a person with a Hands-On mentality that has ideally experience in Purchasing of s and/or Project Management of large CAPEX Project.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Track and execute the contract for large equipment investments from a commercial perspective
  • Organize and participate in daily / weekly drumbeats that organize the delivery of the equipment
  • Negotiate, track and follow-up on change orders and non-conformities
  • Work hand in hand with Engineering and Technical Project Managers to ensure the delivery of the equipment according to the contract

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree with focus on Industrial Engineering, Sourcing & Logistics or Engineering, and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years working experience with a background in Purchasing or Project Management and/or for investment goods
  • Excellent English written and oral skills

Bonus points for:

  • Experience and interest in manufacturing industry
  • Fluency in other languages (Chinese, Swedish, Korean)
  • Experience from a multi-cultural environment
