The Data Platform is a distributed team by design, operating with Open Source principles to empower the team and studios to contribute equally. Beyond the core team, the team collaborates on a weekly basis with the 23 studios in the portfolio to improve data quality and richness. The result is that the Data Platform is in the infancy of becoming a team, with a unique organizational design. This role will be responsible for expanding the services of business analysis, automation of financial reporting, and general data architecture.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Financial Data Analyst. This role combines business knowledge, analytical capabilities, and programming skills to structure, build and automate business data support flows to enable group management and finance to be more efficient and understand the business better at any given moment.
YOUR MISSION
Financial Analysis and Dashboards:
Conduct ad-hoc business analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and business driver drill-downs, to support decision-making processes
Prepare reports and weekly updates for management and other group stakeholders
Utilize programming skills to develop and maintain data models, tools, and dashboards to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
Identify opportunities for process automation and develop customized solutions to improve data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness
Ensure data integrity and consistency across data systems and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise
Data architecture and design:
Collaborate with subject experts from various business units like User Acquisition, Ad Monetization or Product to expand the data architecture to enable new reports and analysis
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including finance teams, department heads, executives, and IT professionals, to gather requirements, address challenges, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations
Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive process improvements, enhance data flows to optimize financial performance
YOUR BACKSTORY
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or other relevant languages
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and ability to meet deadlines
Fluent in English and Swedish is a plus
