AML Analyst

This is the job

In your position as an AML Analyst, you will belong to a team of 9 passionate colleagues based both in Stockholm and Gothenburg. The team consists of AML Analysts working primarily operative and supporting the operational improvements and AML Specialists working with onboarding of customers. You will be an integral part of strengthening Zimpler’s AML processes and play an important role in ensuring the product isn’t used for illegal purposes, as at Zimpler AML is highly prioritized and is at the heart of the business.

Zimpler operates as a payment service provider and processes large volumes of transactions in many different segments. Therefore, a risk based approach is used to identify and mitigate risks efficiently. The successful candidate will support implementing and maintaining our anti-money laundering (AML) compliance program, as well as identifying and investigating suspicious activity.

This is what you’ll do

  • Monitor transactions for suspicious activity and conduct investigations as necessary

  • investigate and handle 3rd party request from authorities (such as the police, tax authority etc)

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with AML regulations

  • Keep up-to-date with changes to AML regulations

  • Working and being involved in developing improvements in working methods for the team

  • Preparing and evaluating information about customers to ensure efficient customer onboarding and customer due diligence.
