We are looking for a Business/Finance Intern to join us bringing Northvolt to Germany. The role is a part of our stellar project team based in Hamburg with an outreach to our planned Gigafactory in Heide, Schleswig-Holstein. By joining us, you will be at the forefront of building up a large scale green energy cluster from scratch, placing Northvolts next Gigafactory in the heart of the German energy transition and contribute to building one of the largest and most sustainable European battery factories.

About the job
As a Business/Finance Intern for Drei and Northvolt's German operations, you'll have a unique opportunity to support the setup and execution of our project operations and contribute to the analysis of our business model. This comprehensive set of tasks will offer you an extraordinary learning experience in a highly cross-functional environment. You'll be closely collaborating with both the operational and functional teams (both technical and business-related) within Northvolt, assisting in strategic initiatives that will shape Northvolt's operations in Germany and contribute to a pioneering project for Germany's energy and industrial transition.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in financial analysis and modelling to support funding initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Supporting the development of financial models and forecasts to facilitate strategic planning, budgeting, and investment decision-making processes.
  • Helping evaluate potential business opportunities, such as new ventures and partnerships, through comprehensive financial assessments and feasibility studies.

We're seeking an intern who is organized, results-driven, and eager to develop their quantitative and qualitative analysis skills. This role offers the chance to contribute independently and thrive in a high-paced work environment. Qualities that we value include flexibility, a friendly disposition, and a good sense of humour.

Northvolt is an equal opportunity employer. We're a diverse group of individuals, united by a common mission, who recognize that while our actions as individuals have a role to play in driving Northvolt towards its goals, we always seek to move forward as a team. We offer an open and welcoming atmosphere where we win as a team - and learn from setbacks as a team. Northvolt is rapidly growing, and we strongly advocate for internal career development.

To apply, please submit your CV in English or your complete LinkedIn profile.
The starting date is planned for the 01.07.2024

About the company

Northvolt makes green batteries for a blue planet. Affordable cells and high-quality battery systems. All manufactured with a record-low carbon footprint. Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely.

To accomplish this, we do things differently. We design, manufacture, and recycle everything under one roof. We even build our own factories. All this is incredibly challenging and requires us to think in unconventional ways. We’re constantly experimenting, learning and adapting to make batteries so great – they will one day make oil history.

Northvolt is growing fast. We’re staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås, as well as our Gdansk facility for production of battery systems. We're also hiring for our gigafactory Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå, Sweden. We want to work with smart individuals from all disciplines. Strong individuals that truly want to make a positive impact on the future. Those of us already on board share a passion for our mission. We’re prepared to work hard in pursuit of excellence. We enjoy the ride and our main drive is to make a difference for real. As a team, we’re dedicated to thinking new, working hard and having fun.
