Administer and troubleshoot complex Oracle database systems and perform database lifecycle management:
Install, patch and maintain all Oracle software;
Monitoring and capacity management;
Backup and recovery;
Instance configuration, object sizing, database and schema creation/alter;
Resolve Oracle database performance issues and tune Oracle instance components.
Performance testing and evaluation to ensure data security, privacy and integrity, identification of bottlenecks.
Provide assistance and collaborate with product developers.
Ensure SLA's & operational KPI’s are met, working as necessary with internal and external support functions when major incidents occur.
Act proactively to optimize queries and make analyses in order to improve performance and reduce the cost.
Determine, document, and apply DB policies, procedures, and standards, ensure that are in line with company requirements.
Participate in the production support activities, in order to ensure availability and integrity of Oracle database systems.
Skills & Requirements
5-10 years Oracle DBA experience is a must
AWS RDS experience is preferred but important.
