The Corporate Politics and Ownership unit has a key role in Statkraft's work with political and regulatory issues in Norway, Europe and internationally. The unit coordinates regulatory and policy work, both internally in the company, and in external forums where Statkraft participates. Statkraft’s Brussels Office currently consists of a small and competent team which is responsible for safeguarding and coordinating Statkraft’s understanding of EU policies and to provide relevant input to ongoing processes. Given the rapid policy development in Brussels and Statkraft’s growth strategy in Europe and the Nordics, we want to further strengthen the capacity of in the Brussels office.

  • Create traction and results for Statkraft’s political positions and interests in Brussels
  • Develop external stakeholder strategy, build and maintain networks and partnerships
  • Represent Statkraft externally
  • Support Senior Management on public affairs issues and in external meetings
  • Contribute to deep political analyses of EU policy making, politics and processes

Skills & Requirements

  • Several years of experience from and insight into the work with or in EU institutions, preferably
  • the European Parliament and/or Commission
  • International experience positive
  • Extensive network in Brussels
  • Experience from European, international, or national energy and climate policy processes
  • Strategic and structured approach to challenges, tasks and priorities
  • Strong communications skills, written and orally
  • Strong team-player with good interpersonal skills, with the ability to create relations internally and externally
  • Structured and self-driven with professional authority and integrity
  • Master degree in economics, political science, law or similar
  • Fluent in English and at least one other European language (in addition to preferably one Scandinavian language)
