Witrafi is looking for a Java enthusiast, who wants to make this world better and air cleaner. Did you know that we spend 20 minutes on average trying to find a free parking spot, causing extra traffic and CO2 emission? Witrafi is going to change this.
You may be full-stack or backend focused, as long as you like Java and are up for a challenge. You will be working on our apps and web services on top of existing architecture, providing new features and services to our customers. You will be working on a unified backend that ties together multiple services: peer-to-peer parking app, customer service tool, operators interface etc.
Since the company and platform are still at a fairly young stage, there are a lot of opportunities to impact the development and overall future of both the company and the product. It also means you can learn a lot from your teammates and many companies that Witrafi collaborates with.
The following skills are needed to get the job done:
Witrafi is a Finnish MaaS (Mobility as a Service) startup founded in 2013, with a vision to change the way we park. They’ve recently launched a service called Rent-a-Park, which is best described as the Airbnb of parking. It allows parking space owners to share their lots when they’re not in use.
The parking industry has been more or less the same for decades, which is why the founders thought that there was a lot to do, and an opportunity to make a difference. They spent a lot of time testing their core technologies, polishing the code and collaborating with various parking operators, including the City of Helsinki. Today, Rent-a-Park is running in 10 cities all around Finland and the user base is growing like never before.
