Therefore, we are now looking for experienced Manufacturing Test Engineers who will play an important role in managing product quality of our new and existing products at our manufacturers and suppliers. About the role

We are looking for experienced Manufacturing Test Engineers.

The right candidate for this position at reMarkable will be part of the Supply Chain team in Oslo, working both with ongoing Operations of existing products and ensuring success for New Product Introduction as a part of the Industrialization team. reMarkable has a global footprint, and you will contribute to development/ industrialization activities and securing operations with our contracted manufacturer (CM) and suppliers on the international arena. This position will require willingness to travel as our manufacturing network (suppliers/ partners) span across many different geographies.

Further tasks and responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility of Manufacturing Test and Test Equipment Strategy in collaboration with internal and external teams

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional work with manufacturing test engineers from hardware, embedded software, mechanical design as well as new product introduction team (NPI)

  • Drive and manage test fixture development with cross-functional teams and external partners

  • Contribute into New Product Introduction projects, e.g. with the perspectives of design for testing

  • Deliver factory readiness for manufacturing testing in mass production through driving technical issues to resolution and enabling timely readiness of testing infrastructure

  • Responsible for establishment of IT - infrastructure to assure test data availability, alignment with the operations IT-Infrastructure systems such as Product Lifecycle Management and Test Data Management system

  • Perform data analysis of Logs, Test Reports and Yield reports with a Quality management perspective

  • Continuous improvement through Statistical Process Control

  • Drive failure analysis connected to manufacturing testing

  • Contribute to development of the best possible processes in order to achieve large scale production with minimum fall off rate at capable Suppliers & Manufacturing partners

  • Provide inputs, feedback and professional guidance with regards to chosen manufacturing testing and organization of the test flow

  • Actively seek and drive continuous improvement of respective products and processes

  • Contribute in implementing Value Engineering (pre-/post-release) opportunitie

Who are you?

  • Higher education in relevant area such as Electrical, Mechanical, Software Engineering or Quality Management and Manufacturing

  • Minimum 5 years experience in product Testing / Validation/ Manufacturing Test Equipment development, preferable for consumer electronics or similar in mass production

  • Solid understanding and knowledge of manufacturing functional testing from hardware component to end product

  • Knowledge of common coding languages (e.g. Python) as well as coding methodologies and practices

  • Problem solver and eager to find solutions

  • Statistical process control knowledge

  • Project management skills

  • Self driven with strong communications skills, both verbal and written, also in a cross-cultural context

  • Leadership skills in a cross-cultural context

  • Experience working with Asian suppliers is a plus

  • Agile Way of Working

  • Languages:

    • English (Professional Working Proficiency) is mandatory

    • Norwegian a plus

    • Other languages are good advantage
