Products, Cloud Engineering and Operations business function is responsible for ensuring that Basware continues to provide its customers with industry leading SaaS solutions to simplify operations and spend smarter. This global function creates and executes the product strategy, new product innovations, roadmap, design, product development and product launches for Basware’s global product portfolio.
Together with other Basware units, Products, Cloud Engineering and Operations ensures that our customers can successfully meet their business objectives through cooperating with Basware and using our product and service portfolio.
Oracle Database Administrator:
Basware is looking for new talent to help manage the IT infrastructure used to support our Enterprise Purchase-to-Pay SaaS systems. We currently operate systems in 4 data centers across Europe, USA, Canada and Australia. The services hosted in these DCs are used by a wide range of customer organizations
globally.
You will play an important role in the support of Basware's production systems. As part of a global operations, you will work closely with our colleagues in cloud operations, deployment, cloud engineering and other specialist teams. Due to the global nature of this position proficiency in English is required.
For you to be successful in this position, you will need experience in support and management of large, performance critical systems. A knowledge of IT security solutions is desirable. We appreciate a knowledge of financial or ERP solutions and good communication skills.

Skills & Requirements
Our cloud applications are hosted on top of AWS Public Cloud and are used by our clients all around the world.
• Education and Experience:
o Bachelor's/Master’s degree in a Technology field with at least 4 years of experience of
supporting Oracle databases, and the ability to work on your own initiative.
o Knowledge of AWS cloud is highly desirable, and experience with supporting MSSQL or
MySQL databases is a bonus.
• Roles and Responsibilities:
o Install, patch and maintain Oracle databases
o Backup and recovery
o User Management
o Monitoring and resolution of Oracle database performance issues and tune Oracle instance components
o Responding to customer related support cases, tracing and diagnosing issues.
o Ensure SLA's & operational KPI’s are met, working as necessary with internal and external support functions when major incidents occur.
o Determine, document, and apply DB policies, procedures, and standards, ensure that are in line with company requirements.
Flexibility and Availability
• Working during US and AU business hours.
• Taking part in a 24/7 on-call rota.
