We are looking for an experienced Project Interface Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent factory programs team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing the Northvolt ETT giga-factory and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job
A Project Interface Manager in the Construction Industry is responsible for ensuring that communication and coordination between different parties involved in a construction project are carried out smoothly. They manage the exchange of information between different departments, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are met, and the project is completed on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Communication Management: The Project Interface Manager is responsible for managing communication between different parties involved in the project, including contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders. They must ensure that all parties are aware of project goals and that all communications are timely and accurate.
  • Coordination: They are responsible for coordinating activities between different departments and stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is working together towards the same goal. They must be able to identify any potential issues or conflicts and work to resolve them.
  • Risk Management: They are responsible for identifying potential risks and implementing risk management strategies to minimize the impact on the project. They must be able to assess risks and prioritize them based on their potential impact.
  • Change Management: They are responsible for managing changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget. They must ensure that any changes are communicated to all parties involved in the project and that they are implemented in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Documentation: They are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and budgets. They must ensure that all documentation is accessible to all parties involved in the project.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required. At least 5 years of experience in project management, interface management, or a related field is required.
  • Communication Skills: The Project Interface Manager must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. They must be able to communicate effectively with all parties involved in the project, including contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: They must have strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. They must be able to manage multiple teams and departments effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: They must have excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and issues and develop effective risk management strategies.
  • Organizational Skills: They must be highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. They must be able to develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Technical Skills: They must have a strong understanding of construction industry standards and practices. They must be familiar with project management software and tools.
  • Interpersonal Skills: They must have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of an organization. They must be able to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and contractors.
