Global Amazon Manager

Do you want to play a central role in creating growth for reMarkable through Amazon?

Marketplaces like Amazon are growing rapidly across markets and are likely to become an important sales channel for reMarkable. In this new and exciting role, we are looking for an experienced, goal-oriented, and highly entrepreneurial candidate to drive reMarkable’s growth on Amazon while at the same time building capabilities that will be crucial to succeed with both Amazon and other marketplaces.

About reMarkable

reMarkable is a Norwegian tech company with a mission to help people think better through technology. With over 1 million paper tablets sold worldwide and recently becoming Norway’s latest Unicorn, reMarkable has, in a few years, transformed from a small start-up to one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe. Following this incredible growth journey, we have set ambitious growth and development goals for the future and are now looking for a new colleague to join us in realizing our ambitions from our HQ in Oslo.

About the role

Until recently, reMarkable has operated mainly through our own sales channel, selling directly to customers from remarkable.com. However, we’re currently transitioning from a D2C company into a multi-channel company. We see indirect sales through retail and marketplaces, where Amazon is a central growth driver, as crucial to broaden our customer reach.

Therefore, we are looking for an experienced Global Amazon Manager to join our team and play a central role in a growing strategic focus area in the company. You will be part of the Indirect Sales team and be responsible for reMarkable’s growth on Amazon across all markets.

We are open for candidates from all over the EU/EEA, and we assist with relocation support.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Strategy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement strategies for succeeding with Amazon as a sales channel, both globally and locally. Including ownership over business plans, KPIs, pricing, and promotional strategies

  • Sales and Revenue Growth Ownership: Responsible for actively driving sales on Amazon across markets, analyzing performance, identifying growth opportunities, and implementing actions to leverage them

  • Relationship/ Account Management: Managing all aspects of the business relationship with Amazon at a global level, including negotiating terms and conditions, optimizing product listings, managing inventory, and resolving any account-related issues

  • Forecast and Supply Chain Management: Owning and managing the Amazon sales forecast and working directly with the internal Finance and Supply Chain teams

  • Marketing Campaigns Management: Work with internal marketing teams to set up impactful campaigns in line with the objectives set, and take responsibility for promotional event planning in collaboration with Amazon

  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Project Management: Collaborating with internal operational teams, such as marketing, indirect and direct sales, customer service, and product development, to align Amazon strategies with overall business objectives and ensure a seamless customer experience across channels

  • New Product launches: Successfully plan and launch new products in collaboration with Amazon and the internal operational teams and management

Who we believe you are

  • You have 5-10 years of relevant work experience, with proven records in a role directly responsible for working with or in Amazon across multiple countries, preferably in the US and EU/UK

  • You have a deep understanding of the Amazon business model, operations, and ways of working, including both Vendor Central and Seller Central Platforms

  • You excel at forming solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You have the skills and network to be the one person that operates across and through the hierarchy of Amazon with credibility

  • You are willing to roll up your sleeves and have a track record of taking ownership and getting things done

  • You have demonstrated negotiation skills to drive impactful outcomes

  • You have project management skills and experience

  • You have a commercial mindset, are highly entrepreneurial, and desire to succeed

  • You enjoy an environment with continuous changes and a high pace

  • You should have a valid work permit from the EU/EEA (Relocation assistance is provided)
