Camp host for snowhotel and wilderness camp
Norwegian Travel is one of the leading tourism companies in the country. As part of our ambition to set the standard for activity-based tourism in Norway, our daughter companies, Lyngsfjord Adventure and Tromsø Ice Domes, operating in the picturesque Camp Tamok, are looking for Camp hosts for the upcoming winter season.

We are looking for Camp hosts both for our breathtaking snow hotel and for our cozy camp. The position can also be combined with guiding for Northern Lights, snowshoeing and if you have driving license “S” the position can be combined as snowmobile guide. The positions are seasonal, but there might be opportunities for a permanent position.

Guides and Camp Hosts
Situated in the north of Norway, in one of the valleys not far from Tromsø, you will find Camp Tamok: a lovely wilderness camp. Here we offer snowmobile safaris, reindeer visits, snowshoeing excursions - and yes, husky sledding tours! We are looking for English speaking staff to lead our guests through an experience of a lifetime.

The camp host position will have the tasks to prepare the snowhotel and camp before the guests arrives for activities. It will include preparation of changing rooms, pre-heat the food and drinks, take care of the guests at the camp before and after the activities, cleaning of the lavvoes, overnight cabins and other facilities. After the activities the guests will be served a hotmeal and hot drinks.

About you...

You like working with people, and you're outgoing and sociable. You enjoy a varied working day where everything is not necessarily planned in advance.

You have control over "everything", work structured and are good at having a lot of balls in the air. Your attitude that problems are to be solved is a great fit here with us. You always keep your cool under pressure, are happy, willing and able to take charge and initiative when the unexpected happens, and handle every challenge in a swift and expeditious manner with a reassuring smile on your face.
